Cage and chip-count operations

Every chip counted.
Every count signed.

CageCount runs the drop board, the chip count and the cage close. Racks and loose chips total themselves, variance is calculated for you and needs a written reason, chip liability turns red past your threshold, and nothing closes without two signatures.

Your chip set, your colors

The drop board

Table by table, box by box.

Work the night’s drop from one board. Regular drop, Jackpot and Progressive Jackpot boxes stay separate from the first entry, with totals and box counts for each.

Jackpot Progressive Jackpot (games that have one) Regular drop Open Table 3’s drop

Racks and loose chips

Count the way the cage counts.

Enter racks and loose chips for each denomination. One rack is 100 chips. Count and value recalculate as you type, and every change saves on its own, so a dropped connection never costs you a count.

Try it

This is Table 3’s drop: 778 chips, $7,530.00. Change any racks or loose value and watch the totals.

Automatic variance

The math is done. The reason is yours.

Variance is the ending total, minus the previous close, minus adjustments. CageCount works it out the moment the count is in. If it isn’t zero, nobody signs until someone writes down why.

New AI Variance Explainer

Required because the variance is not zero.

Suggestion only. Recount, edit, then sign.

The explainer reads the count you just entered, the previous close and tonight’s adjustments, and suggests where the difference most likely came from. It never closes a count. A person does.

Chip liability · 10/4/26

Watched against a warning threshold you set. Cross it and the number turns red on the close.

Two-person sign-off

Two signatures. Then it’s closed.

Every cage count and chip count closes with two on-screen signatures. Reopening a closed count takes a written reason, and it lands on the audit trail with who did it and when.

New

Badge-scan sign-off

Signers scan their badge. CageCount checks with HR PaperTrail that their work permit or license is on file and current, and flags an expired or missing one before the count can close.

How it connects to HR PaperTrail

The cage knows who’s licensed.

HR PaperTrail already tracks every work permit, key-employee license and certification on your team. CageCount asks it before a signature counts, so the people closing your cage are the people allowed to.

  1. 01

    Badge #1187

    Priya Raman · Cage Cashier

    Scan the badge

The signer scans in on the close screen instead of typing a name.

  2. 02

    Checking HR PaperTrail…

    Licenses & permits on file

    Check the license

CageCount looks up the signer’s work permit or license in HR PaperTrail and its expiration date.

  3. 03

    Signature accepted

Work permit current · exp. 3/14/27

    Sign with confidence

Current license, the signature goes through. Expired or missing, the close is flagged so a supervisor can step in.

Licenses and permits stay in HR PaperTrail, with its action-required window and past-due report. CageCount reads them; it never changes them.

New in CageCount

The whole floor, live.

A live pit board shows every table’s drop as the count team works through the night, and count anomaly alerts flag a box that looks wrong before anyone signs.

Reports and exports

Ready for the controller and the auditor.

The Jackpot Drop Report, chip and cage balance sheets and a chip-liability report, for any date range. Every closed count downloads as a PDF with both signatures, and the reports export to Excel.

Who it’s for

For everyone who touches the count.

From the cashier entering racks at 2 a.m. to the controller reading the balance sheet in the morning.

Cage cashiers and supervisors

Enter racks and loose chips, watch the totals and variance update as you type, and close the count with two signatures.

Count teams

Work the drop board table by table, with regular, Jackpot and Progressive Jackpot boxes kept apart from the first entry.

Finance and controllers

Variance with a written reason, chip liability against your threshold, and balance sheets that export to PDF and Excel.

Compliance and audit

Every close is signed by two people. Every reopen needs a reason and lands on the audit trail.
