Card rooms & casinos

Built on a card room floor. Ready for yours.

HR PaperTrail grew up inside a California card room. Work permits, key employee licenses, Title 31, dealer errors, surveillance checklists and a floor that never closes come standard.

  • Grave · Day · Swing
  • Dealer-error incident types
  • Key employee licenses
  • Title 31 training

The problem

Sound familiar?

Every card room runs on the same handful of headaches. We know, because we built this one inside of one.

Cage · 4:10 PM

Permit renewals tracked in a binder in the cage.

On the record

Every permit and license with its due date, renewal cycle and proof on file.

Swing → Grave

A misdeal on swing, a dispute on grave, and three versions of what happened.

On the record

Dealer-error incident types for poker, blackjack, pai gow and baccarat, with involved and witness roles.

Supervisor’s drawer

Write-ups living in a supervisor’s drawer — until a hearing.

On the record

Write-ups signed on screen by the employee, supervisor and HR. Timestamped and on file.

Surveillance · 3:00 AM

Surveillance checks done, but never documented.

On the record

DVR checks, the key log and a key employee on duty, signed off in every shift report.

Table 7 · 9:40 PM

A shove at Table 7, and nobody sure whether it counts as workplace violence.

On the record

AI flags incidents that may meet California’s §6401.9 definition. Your team decides.

Break room

Three no-call no-shows, handled three different ways.

On the record

Your point rules, applied the same way for everyone — forgiven each clean month.

Compliance

Built to support the rules you already answer to.

Set up each requirement once: who it applies to, when it’s due after hire, how often it renews and whether proof is required. HR PaperTrail assigns it at hire and keeps the clock running.

Licensed through a tribal gaming agency? Track whatever licenses and certifications your commission requires, the same way.

A night on the floor

From swing shift to morning review.

One night at Redwood Crown Card Club, the fictional card room we use for demos. Every name below is made up; every screen is real.

  1. · Swing

A patron shoves the dealer at Table 7.

After losing a hand, a patron threatens Tommy Nguyen and shoves him. Jake Holloway from Security steps in. Elena Ruiz, the floor supervisor, logs it from her phone before the table reopens.

  2. · Swing

The AI reads it before she pockets her phone.

The entry is flagged as one that may meet California’s §6401.9 workplace-violence definition, with a confidence score. The reasoning is saved with the record. Your team decides what happens next.

  3. · Swing → Grave

    Swing hands off to Grave.

Jake Holloway closes the Security and Surveillance shift report: the narrative, the surveillance checklist and the Table 7 incident in one handoff — emailed to Sam Ortiz and Danielle Okafor before he clocks out.

  4. · Grave

    Camera 14 goes dark.

At 1 a.m. on the floor, Surveillance loses the PTZ over the pit. The repair goes in as Critical with the safety-hazard flag, and managers hear about it immediately.

  5. · Day

    A chip runner doesn’t show.

Aaron Whitfield misses his shift without a call. The No Call/No Show goes on his points under your rules, and his AI risk level updates on its own.

  6. · Day

    Danielle opens the dashboard.

Tommy’s key employee license expires in 12 days. Priya’s Title 31 training is past due. Marcus Bell is rated High risk, with the concerns behind it. HR starts the day knowing exactly where to look.

  7. · Day

    Marcus signs his written warning.

Elena presents it on her screen. Marcus adds his comments and signs, then Elena, then Danielle. Signed, timestamped, on file — and a 30-day PIP starts today.
