AI that reads every page.

HR PaperTrail’s AI reviews each employee’s last 12 months, checks every incident against California’s workplace-violence definition, and turns photos into equipment records. Your managers make every decision.

Watch it work

Twelve months of records. One honest read.

Every night — and whenever a counseling, point, incident or PIP changes — the AI reads the employee’s last year and writes down what it sees, citing the records behind it.

  1. Reads counselings, points, incidents, PIPs and status changes
  2. Weighs severity, escalation and recency
  3. A level, a 0–100 score and the concerns behind it

What you get

Decision support, not decisions.

01

Employee risk insights.

A risk level from Low to Critical, a 0–100 score, a summary, and concerns that cite the specific records behind them — on the employee’s profile.

  • Re-analyzed when a record changes
  • And again every night
  • Decision support — a person decides

02

Workplace-violence detection.

Every incident, typed in or sent through the API, is checked against Labor Code §6401.9 and stored with a confidence score; the AI’s reasoning is saved with flagged and borderline entries.

  • Runs on save, automatically
  • Confidence score on the entry
  • Your team reviews every flag

03

Suggested point adjustments.

AI matches an incident’s narrative to your own infraction list and pre-fills the adjustment. Nothing is saved until a manager approves it.

  • Semantic matching to your reasons
  • Pre-filled form, explanation attached
  • Approve, edit or discard

Questions

Straight answers.

Something else? Ask us directly — a real person answers.

Does the AI make decisions about employees?

No. It flags, scores and suggests. Managers decide, and nothing — a point, a write-up, a status change — is saved without a person approving it.

What does a risk insight show?

A level (Low, Moderate, High or Critical), a 0–100 score, a short summary and the concerns behind it, citing the specific records. It’s re-analyzed when records change and every night.

Who can see risk insights?

Only people with the permission to view them, within the departments they manage — and you can hide a person’s own record, insight included, from their own login.

Which AI provider do you use?

OpenAI processes the records and photos that the AI features analyze. Risk insights are decision support for your managers, not automated decisions.
